This is not polite tea. We make bold, naturally smoked loose-leaf for people who want flavour with backbone. Real smoke. Real wood. Real depth.

How to Brew

Manifesto · 001

Old School.
Untamed.

Smoked tea is not for everyone. That is the point.

Our Lapsang Souchong is traditionally smoked over pinewood fires in Fujian, China — using methods that predate trends, influencers, and anything described as "smooth with hints of…" This is tea with backbone, not bite.

The Method

What makes
smoked tea special?

It is not about shortcuts or flavouring. It is about time, wood and intention.

Step 01

Traditional Smoking

Naturally smoked over real pinewood fires using time-honoured Fujian techniques. Smoke earned, not added.

Step 02

Unique Flavour

Bold campfire notes balanced with smooth malt, oak, and subtle sweetness beneath the smoke.

Step 03

Aromatic Experience

Crackling fire, ancient forests, cool mountain air. The scent alone tells you this is not everyday tea.

Step 04

For the Bold Palate

An acquired taste, proudly so. For those who seek depth, character, and something that stands apart.

A 20-second smoke break

Stoke the embers.

Embers flare across the grid. Tap each one before it fades — miss the empty squares. One round, twenty seconds, real bragging rights.

Definitely smoky and very fresh

"You can tell straight off this is a natural and extremely high grade product. It is intensely smokey when you first open the packet — at first I was putting a pinch in the pot along with some Ceylon and Assam leaves for a smokey hit, or it would have been much too strong. Fantastic value for what it is."

The best Lapsang Souchong Black Tea ever!

"This is some of the best Lapsang Souchong Black Tea I've ever had — it's exceptional, especially that deep smokiness with a really soft finish. Highly recommend."

Favourite Lapsang Souchong

"I'm trying to find the best Lapsang Souchong tea and this is my favourite so far. Much smoother tasting than the Waitrose No1 brand."

Laps Ahead!

"Outstanding tea! It smoked other Lapsangs out of the park for me. Just the right amount of flavour and strength. The packaging was neat and the labelling was funky and different to other brands. Tea-rrific!"
